Selomanik Karangmangu Village, Kaliwiro District, Wonosobo Regency, has significant potential in agriculture and fisheries, but still faces challenges related to limited land, water, and cultivation technology. To address these issues, the Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto Community Service Program (KKN) implemented a community service program by implementing bucket aquaponics technology that integrates catfish (Clarias sp.) and kale (Ipomoea reptans) cultivation in a closed ecosystem. The program aims to improve community skills in utilizing resources efficiently, developing environmentally friendly agriculture, and supporting food independence at the household level. The methods used include observing local potential, providing counseling on the working principles of aquaponics, training in building a bucket aquaponics system, and mentoring in fish and plant maintenance. The results of this community service program show that the community is able to assemble and operate the system independently, with a catfish survival rate of 95% and optimal kale growth without the use of chemical fertilizers. Furthermore, there has been an increase in community knowledge about managing organic waste from fish farming as a source of nutrients for plants, and the formation of community groups ready to develop this system sustainably. In conclusion, the implementation of bucket aquaponics technology in Selomanik Village has successfully become an innovation in integrated farming that is efficient in land and water use, provides economic benefits, and strengthens food security in rural communities.
