Pengaruh Life Skill Education terhadap Pengendalian Rokok pada Remaja

Saat ini jumlah perokok, terutama perokok remaja terus bertambah, khususnya di negara-negara berkembang. Keadaan ini merupakan tantangan berat bagi upaya peningkatan derajat kesehatan masyarakat. Organisasi kesehatan sedunia (WHO) telah memberikan peringatan bahwa dalam dekade 2020-2030 tembakau akan membunuh 10 juta orang per tahun, 70% di antaranya terjadi di negara-negara berkembang. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui perilaku merokok remaja di wilayah pesisir Kabupaten Sinjai dan faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan perilaku merokok pada remaja di wilayah pesisir Kabupaten Sinjai. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah crossectional studi. Populasi penelitian adalah remaja yang berusia antara 13-16 tahun sebanyak 231 orang orang. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 50 orang. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Pattongko Kecamatan Tellulimpoe Kabupaten Sinjai. Penelitian dilaksanakan 1-28 Oktober 2018, dengan melakukan pemantauan perilaku merokok pada remaja di wilayah peisisir pada kabupaten Sinjai. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa perilaku merokok remaja berdasarkan kategori sering/tinggi sebanyak 41 responden (82%) dan jarang/rendah sebanyak 9 responden (18%); dan risiko kesehatan yang dialami remaja dalam kategori berisiko sebanyak 39 responden (78%) dan 11 responden (22%). Perilaku merokok remaja dalam kategori sering/tinggi yang mengalami risiko sebanyak 32 responden (78,0) dan tidak berisiko sebanyak 9 responden (22,0%); sedangkan dalam dalam kategori jarang/rendah yang mengalami risiko sebanyak 7 responden (77,8%) dan tidak berisiko sebanyak 2 responden (22,2%). Dimana hasil uji chisquare sebesar 0,000. Artinya, ada hubungan antara perilaku merokok dengan risiko kesehatan yang dialami remaja.
