Abstract

This Community Service Program was implemented in Kejawang Village, Sruweng Sub-district, Kebumen Regency, Central Java, focusing on stunting prevention through nutrition education, supplementary feeding (PMT), and child growth monitoring. Kejawang Village was selected as the intervention site due to the presence of nine stunted children and several children at risk of undernutrition, along with the availability of health facilities, local food resources, and active community participation. The implementation method consisted of three stages: (1) preparation through coordination with the village government, midwives, community health volunteers, and the local health center, (2) intervention through nutrition education, daily supplementary feeding for 90 days, and growth monitoring every four weeks, and (3) evaluation through analysis of changes in nutritional status and family behavior. The results showed weight gain in 7 out of 9 stunted children, increased family consumption frequency of animal protein, and improved clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS). Key supporting factors included the availability of local food resources, support from the village government, and active involvement of community health volunteers, while challenges included limited food variety in certain seasons and the absence of some parents in education sessions. This program has a positive short-term impact on child nutrition improvement and has the potential for sustainability through the use of local resources.
