A community service program in Watulawang Village, Pejagoan District, Kebumen Regency, aims to increase the use of betel leaves (Piper betle L.) as a raw material for herbal soap to reduce dependence on commercial soaps containing synthetic chemicals. The activity was carried out through door-to-door socialization accompanied by demonstrations of soap making and product distribution to residents. The resulting soap combines betel leaf extract which has antibacterial, antifungal, and antioxidant properties with glycerin as a natural humectant. A satisfaction survey of 28 respondents showed 57.14% “Very Satisfied”, 35.71% “Satisfied”, and 7.14% “Dissatisfied”, with the advantages being the distinctive aroma of betel leaves, soft texture, and the ability to cleanse the skin without irritation. These results prove the potential of betel leaf herbal soap as a superior village product that is healthy, environmentally friendly, and has economic value, with recommendations for improving the formulation to increase aroma and foam volume.
