Abstract

Household kitchen waste such as rice washing water and onion skins are often underutilized and end up as waste that can pollute the environment. In fact, these materials have the potential to be processed into liquid organic fertilizer (POC) which is beneficial for the agricultural sector. This activity aims to empower the Women Farmers Group (KWT) to process kitchen waste that has been rarely utilized, especially rice washing water, onion skins, and coconut sugar, into nutrient-rich POC. The production was done by mixing the ingredients with EM4 as an activator, then fermented for seven days with daily stirring and ventilation. The results showed that the POC produced contained essential nutrients nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) that support plant growth. This program not only produces environmentally friendly organic fertilizer, but also helps to reduce the amount of kitchen waste and improve the skills of Women Farmers Group members in organic waste management
