Abstract

This study aims to identify the potential for developing Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA) in Kubang Village Kubang, Wanayasa Sub-district, Banjarnegara District, and to formulate strategies for community empowerment in the management and utilization of TOGA as part of the Healthy Village Program. With its high level of biodiversity Indonesia has numerous types of medicinal plants that can be utilized for public health. The research findings indicate that the community of Kubang Village, particularly the PKK women, have become familiar with and begun utilizing medicinal plants such as red ginger, kencur, and pegagan leaves. However, this utilization remains limited and unstructured. Through socialization, training, and mentoring, the community successfully developed a TOGA garden that functions as an education and training center. This empowerment program not only enhances the community's knowledge of herbal medicine but also contributes to food security and family health. Despite challenges in production and processing, this study recommends integrating TOGA into the village health system to ensure its sustainability and effectiveness.
