Abstract

Education and training activities related to sanitation according to CPPB-IRT are carried out to educate as well as provide information to train jamu gendong producers to pay more attention to the quality and advance the products they market. This activity is divided into two, the delivery of training materials and filling out questionnaires related to sanitation. This education and training contains matters related to hygiene that must be considered in the production of a food or beverage according to CPPB-IRT standards in order to produce quality products. The results of the activity showed that jamu gendong producers were able to understand the educational material well and showed high enthusiasm in sanitation training according to CPPB-IRT. The programme was able to instil values of responsibility, care and awareness regarding cleanliness in the production room. This training is effective in increasing producers' awareness in contributing to creating quality products that are safe for consumption.
