Business Legality for the Advancement of MSMEs: Counseling and Assistance in Making NIB (Business Identification Number) for Business Actors in Glempangpasir Village

MSMEs play an important role in the village economy because they are able to create jobs, improve community welfare, and drive the wheels of the local economy. However, in Glempangpasir Village, especially in coconut penderes business actors, most MSMEs are still running informally and do not have clear legality. In fact, the legality of businesses such as Business Identification Numbers (NIB) is very necessary, not only as an official identity, but also as an entrance to get access to capital, legal protection, and various government programs. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive with a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. Through this approach, the researcher is directly involved in counseling activities and assisting in the creation of NIB. Data was collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and active participation in the field. The results of the study show that counseling activities are able to increase the understanding of business actors about the meaning, benefits, and procedures for making NIB. Meanwhile, technical assistance helps business actors overcome digital literacy obstacles and administrative obstacles, so that several MSMEs have succeeded in obtaining NIB officially.
