Farmer Empowerment to Increase Product Selling Value through Lieur Coffee Processing Innovation

Coffee is a strategic commodity that plays an important role in the Indonesian economy, including in Bendungan Village, Kaliwiro Subdistrict, Wonosobo Regency, which is famous for its lieur coffee production. However, most local farmers still sell coffee beans in raw or dried form without further processing, resulting in low selling value. This service activity aims to improve farmers' skills in post-harvest processing, roasting, packaging, and marketing of coffee to produce value-added products. The methods used include counseling, training, mentoring, and trials of drying and roasting processes with time variations. The results showed an increase in partners' knowledge and skills, as evidenced by their success in producing lieur coffee powder according to the SOP with optimal quality. Roasting for 75 minutes produces a black coffee color, strong scent, and balanced taste between bitter and sweet, so it is considered the best quality. In addition, the products have obtained Intellectual Property Rights protection and are being marketed to a wider market, potentially increasing the income and competitiveness of local coffee.
